I was pretty surprised at the level of magnification that could be coaxed out of my Canon G6 set on “macro” to catch this butterfly. Fortunately, the light was good and I was able to stop down quite a bit. I think this is a Pipevine Swallowtail, but feel free to correct me if that’s not true.
We just got back from Switzerland, and I brought back quite a few images, as you can imagine. It was not always easy to steal time away from my family, parents and friends, though. Ah, decisions, decisions. 🙂
